Become A Lot More Profitable with A Faster Windows XP
A slow computer should be ancient history. With advancement in innovations and technology, using a slow computer will give you the idea of living through ancient times. Bcause of this that people always search how to speed up their PCs.
If you are on the same road, then you just came to correct place. Its true that there are several ways involve in speeding up a PC. But hey, these effortless things are worth a try.
Here is some of the tweaking I did to speed up my Windows:
> Getting bored with the menu delays is really annoying. Lessen the time it takes for menu transitions by right-clicking your desktop. Select Properties and Choose the Effects tab. Unmark the Animate windows menu lists. For those who use Windows XP, you can do this by right-clicking on the desktop, choosing Properties, clicking the Appearance tab, choosing the Effects option and deselect Use the following transition effects for menus and tooltips, then Click OK.
> Speed up Windows Start Up by removing out the programs you dont need at start-up. For Windows 98 users, you can do this through Start menu and clicking Run. Then enter MSConfig.exe and then choose OK. Click the Start up tab then deselect the programs you want to disablethroughout the startup. As you see, you can only speed start up Windows if you decrease the programs and applications that your computer needs to wake up.
> Defrag may be an old school process but it doesnt fail to help anyone who has speed problems. Find the defrag option under your System Tools menu from the Accessories or Start Tab. Make sure that you provide a time for defragging. Operating varied software while on defrag limits the process itself.
> Prefering to install your applications would be best if you always experience errors. Run a virus scan before you back up all of your important files Moreover, make sure that you have a copy of your hardware drivers and program installers before trying to delete the contents of your hard drive Reinstalling your program takes at least an hour or so
> Removing programs that you do not use. Applications, though you are utilizing them or not, take up space in your hard disk. If you arent utilizing them, then remove them.
